36 ft cast iron sewer lined to the city main for a home builder in Arvada

The situation

The customer was a home builder who had seen trenchless lining work before and knew exactly what he wanted: the warranty, the one-day turnaround, and no trench across the lot. The only difficulty was scheduling; he was rarely on site long enough for a camera inspection.

He solved that by sending over a sewer video he already had. It showed a cast iron line with one badly cracked section and sound pipe beyond it, a good candidate for lining. The job was scheduled for the following day.

The fix

With the owner's approval, the crew opened one small access pit at the damaged spot, repaired the break, and used that opening to shoot a resin-saturated liner through the remaining 36 feet of cast iron to the city connection. A bladder inflated the liner tight against the host pipe while it cured for a few hours, then came out, leaving a continuous new pipe inside the old one. The repair went exactly as the builder expected, which for a customer like that is the point.
