The situation

The owner, an older gentleman, opened the call by saying he would sooner sell the house than pay for an expensive sewer repair. The house was backing up, and the front yard was covered in vintage vehicles he had no intention of moving, which ruled out any kind of excavation on top of the cost.

The fix

The camera showed the expected cracks and root intrusion in the old clay line. The technician hydro-jetted the interior clean, then installed a liner over the 72-foot run from an access point inside the house, so nothing in the yard had to move. The owner kept his cars, kept his house, and got a sewer that would stop backing up, for far less than the number he had been dreading.
