119 ft residential sewer lined after root damage in Arcadia

The situation

Arcadia lots tend to be large, which means long sewer laterals and a long stretch of pipe the homeowner is responsible for. This owner had lived in his house since the early 1980s without a single sewer problem until a major backup sent him looking for help.

TSR's camera inspection found the cause: tree roots had worked into the pipe and, over time, cracked it open where they entered. The line ran roughly 120 feet before reaching the city main.

The fix

Excavating a run that long, and restoring the landscaping afterward, would have been expensive and slow. TSR cleaned the pipe and installed a continuous cured-in-place liner over the full 119 feet. The job took one day, and the homeowner has a seamless pipe that roots cannot re-enter.
