The owner, a financial analyst, had already been quoted for lining about 135 feet of sewer and wanted a second opinion. TSR ran a free camera inspection and found a line assembled from three eras of repair: sections of cast iron, clay and ABS, with roots at the transitions.
TSR performs both lining and pipe bursting and recommends whichever suits the pipe. Lining a run made of three different materials is possible, but bursting replaces it outright: a bursting head is pulled through the old pipe, breaking it apart while towing a new, fused HDPE pipe into its place. It needs only two small access pits, which are restored when the work is done.
All 137 feet were replaced in a single day with a continuous, jointless HDPE pipe. The owner told the crew he has several other properties in Beverly Hills and intends to have TSR rehabilitate all of them.
