Roots had invaded the cast iron lateral and the homeowner's first concern was not the pipe but the tree above it, planted by her grandfather on the day she was born. She wanted to know whether the line could be lined rather than dug.
TSR's camera showed heavy root intrusion and damage to the pipe wall. The crew hydro-jetted the roots out at high pressure, re-inspected to confirm the host pipe could hold a liner, then installed and cured a resin liner over the full 44 feet. The work took about a day. The sewer now runs like new and the tree is still standing.
